Kariann Bandy

Director & Early Childhood Teacher

Kariann joined the staff of the Johnstown United Methodist Preschool (J.U.M.P.) in August of 1999, and loves her job as a Preschool teacher, sharing with young children her love of learning. She also serves as the Director of Education for the United Methodist Church of Johnstown. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and a heart for children's education and children's ministry. Married 29 years to Richard, her high school sweetheart, they are the proud parents of two children who have grown into incredible adults and grandparents to one amazing little boy! Family and faith are the driving forces in her life and in her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, reading, playing games, and paper crafting.

Kimberly Heinrich

Assistant Director, Early Childhood & Music Teacher

Kimberly joined the staff of the Johnstown United Methodist Preschool (J.U.M.P.) in September of 2008, and is thrilled to be a lead teacher for our three-year-old classes, as well as the well-loved music teacher for all of our classes. She also serves as the Music Director for the United Methodist Church of Johnstown. With a heart for children and music, Kimberly owns and operates "The Voice in You," music studio, where she shares her love of music with her students as a vocal coach. Kimberly loves to spend time with her husband Steve and grown daughter, Tori. Camping, singing, reading, and crafting are also amongst Kimberly's favorites.

Amy Gibson

Early Childhood Teacher

Amy became an official member of the Johnstown United Methodist Preschool (J.U.M.P.) staff in 2017 after faithfully volunteering weekly the previous year...and serving for years as an honorary parent volunteer, too! After fifteen years as a home daycare provider, Amy retired for several years before needing her "kid fix." Amy is a favorite playmate of so many children and our preschoolers are so lucky to benefit from Amy's gentle spirit and warm heart! Amy and her husband Alan are the proud parents of two grown sons and four beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys reading, knitting, and pickleball.

Heather McCann

Early Childhood Teacher

Heather joined the staff of the Johnstown United Methodist Preschool (J.U.M.P.) in August of 2015, after volunteering many years in our program as her four children attended J.U.M.P. Heather loves to witness the joy children find when they experience something new. She is proud to be the wife of her awesome husband Danny, and mother to three amazing daughters and an incredible son. She loves coffee, sushi, pink, and anything sparkly, going to church, and being actively involved in her children's lives, supporting them in their activities.

Rebecca Knowlton

Teacher

Rebecca, known as Becca, joined our staff in 2020, after countless volunteer hours when her youngest daughter attended Preschool here. She is Mom to three beautiful girls and is wife to an incredible husband, Mike. Becca has been self-
employed for over 15 years with Pampered Chef. She enjoys cooking and baking and teaching others to cook simply so they can enjoy mealtime. Currently, serving as the Youth Group leader for the United Methodist Church of Johnstown, Becca has a heart for working with children and youth of all ages! A Girl Scout leader of multiple age groups for the past seven years, she loves sharing her love of learning new things and new experiences. Camping and hiking adventures with her family are amongst Becca’s favorite activities.

Sarah Nye

Teacher

Sarah is the newest member of our staff, who joins us after much time spent volunteering in the preschool with both her own two boys and other daycare children. She loves being around children, enjoying listening to their stories, watching them develop and grow, and seeing them reach milestones, which is always cause for celebration. Sarah herself, loves to learn and enjoys sharing that passion with children in her care. Her favorite things to do include spending time with her husband, Bruce, and her two High School aged boys. Watching her boys play soccer is a cherished activity. Kayaking, hiking, reading, and going to lunch with friends are a few of Sarah’s favorites.

Mariah Ferguson

Director & Early Childhood Teacher

Mariah, who joined the Johnstown United Methodist Preschool (J.U.M.P.) staff in 2016 is excited about the opportunity to share in the lives and learning of our three-year-old students. She is a veteran of the United States Army with a heart for service, to her country, local communities, friends, and family. She has been EMT certified and enjoys archery and baking. A devoted wife, and mom to two beautiful girls, Mariah loves spending time with her family and is actively involved in her children's activities as their greatest support and fan!
